Drug discovery is the process by which drugs are discovered and/or designed. In the early days most drugs have been discovered by methods such as identifying the active ingredient from traditional remedies. A new approach has been to understand how disease and infection are controlled at the molecular and physiological level and to target specific entities based on this knowledge and computational methods are found to give a deeper insight into these aspects. Computational Chemistry & Chemoinformatics approaches are found to be very effective tools in Modern Drug Discovery. The workshop is planned to give a deeper understanding about different methods in Computational drug discovery.
